WHY I DO THIS WORK

I knew relationships.
I did not know I was inside a con.

By the time I experienced a romance scam, I had spent years helping people understand dating and relationships. I knew how connection develops. I knew what questions to ask. I also trusted someone who had spent six months becoming believable.

The ending made earlier moments look different. But I had not been given the ending while I was living them.

Those questions now sit alongside more than 15 years of professional relationship work and my continuing education at Arizona State University.

My work helps professionals understand how trust was built and exploited, how the relationship shaped decisions, and how to communicate with the person experiencing it.

This work draws on more than 15 years of professional relationship expertise, my lived experience of romantic exploitation, my National Training Institute presentation and continuing academic study at Arizona State University.
